About us:
Starting at a young age we became exposed to the fishing and culinary traditions of Cape Cod. With years of experience in the
shellfishing and restaurant industry we decided to start our own company, to share our love for fresh ingredients and fresh ideas.
Founded in 2004 at the Wellfleet Oyster Festival, Pirate Shellfish has quickly become a local favorite. We now attend the Bourne Scallop
Festival, and have entered the catering business, bringing our famous raw bar and experienced Sushi chef.

About our design
We took our concept of a oyster with cross bones to
local artist, and Pirate Shellfish friend,Susan Baker.
She slapped a patch on it, and the rest is history. .

Of course our lives have been influenced by the wonders of Wellfleet. Growing up here we can sometimes take for granted what
surrounds us everyday, glorious beaches wonderful fresh seafood, great town spirit, and the world's best oysters. We try to shape our
business after these things. Our other influence..... Wellfleet has long been known for it's most famous Pirate's! Check out the mythical
origins of Pirate Shellfish, plus some real pirate lore, and updates on the salvage of the Whydah a sixteenth century Pirate Ship sunk off
the shores of Wellfleet. Pirate Tradition
surrounds us everyday, glorious beaches wonderful fresh seafood, great town spirit, and the world's best oysters. We try to shape our
